FRIENDSHIP ≠ POPULARITY, research project, 2018, Varaždin (Špancirfest)

This artistic research work was created for ten days at the Špancirfest in Varaždin. I chose this festival because of the wider and different audience. For the work, I used a medium-sized black, red, blue and green marker. Each person could choose one better and one colour and fill in all three columns numerically. In each column, there are three columns which are viewed one field as one answer. The questions in the media are: how much I have a Facebook friend, an Instagram companion and a real friend. Approximately 240 people participated in this project.

Many people who have gone through the street are afraid of plates, even were afraid to anonymously fill in the fields, especially when they came to the column real friends. Then they became surprised and imaginative. Some of these people usually dropped out and left, but went with the questionnaire. Some people are just written a large number and left. There were also people standing in front of the board for 10 or 20 minutes and thinking about it after long thinking.
The objective of this work is not numbers. They are merely a means, but sincerity towards oneself. With this work, I want a reaction that is not just numeric, but it is happening in us.

Are Social Networks Changing Us? Yes, definitely. Does external influences; society, politics, television affects us? Of course. Everything affects us, but how and in what direction do we have to decide for ourselves.
